Weather Temperatures Rising, Be aware of Parvo
When the weather temperatures begin to rise it normally indicates puppy season is coming. With new puppies being born each day it is important to be informed on protecting them from virus/diseases by ensuring they are up to date on vaccines.

Puppies need a total of four Parvo/Distemper vaccines (AKA: DAPPV/DHLPP/DHPPC/7 in 1/5 in1). Puppy vaccinations should start at 6 weeks of age.
Until they have received their full set of vaccines the following guidelines are recommended:
DO NOT VACCINATE IF YOUR PUPPY IS NOT FEELING WELL. INCLUDES ONE OR ALL SYMPTOMS: VOMITING, DIARRHEA, LOOSE STOOL, LETHARGIC, DECREASE IN APPETITE.

- No walks outside, including your neighborhood.
- No dog parks, pets stores, or groomers. Always carry your puppy everywhere they go.
- Obedience classes are ok if they are held in your own home or the facility has strict guidelines such as: only puppies deemed healthy by a Veterinarian are allowed, currently getting vaccinated, de-wormed, and on flea/tick prevention.
- If you are potty training use either puppy pads or the same area in your back yard. Only use your backyard if you have not had a dog diagnosed with parvo at that home in the past. Do not use your front yard as random dogs, cats, people could be a carrier and bring into your yard.
